Do you plan to retire if you being working? Most people would provide for retirement.Also differernt age has different thinking. For young people, when they begin working in society, they would try various jobs because they are looking for such as short work hours,high income, chance for advancement or meaningful work, but for elderly people, they would think more questions from family, money or seniority even though their jobs are boring or not high income.Therefore, they influence their retirements. For example, my father have been working for thirty years in noodle factory which is only a few holiday, but he never thinks changing or quitting a job because he wants to earn more money for retirement.Moreover, My teacher always told me if you has high qualification,and you can easily choose your job and earn more money that is possible for retirement before thirty years old, I think it is most people' dreams. I sometimes think when I find my favorite job, I would choose working longer. According to research of HK university, ten interviewers have sixty percent mentions their golden ages are thirty-forty above, so they would be later to retire for earn money enough and one reason is a sense of security. Finally, everyone has some wishes after retirement life. for me, I just like sleeping later and live smoothly I hope ,how about you?

Planning for the future is so important! Most young people I think want to get a good job and earn a lot of money and retire early! Not a bad idea, but most people probably will not be able to retire at 30 unless they are very clever. That doesn't mean one shouldn't try it. But, no matter how intelligent, everyone needs to plan carefully and start saving money. If students start putting money into a retirement fund even now, by the time they retire, early or later, they will have even more money! I think I want to do some kind of work even though I retire. I find work to be very meaningful especially if balanced with meaningful play! :) Gail
First of all , I agree with you.Everything in life is uncertain.For me, it does not matter that you will retire early or later. The most important thing is how do you prepare your life after that? How is your life going to be? You need to prepare a lot of thing,not only money , but also other things which are surrounding you too. For example, your family, friends, your payment for every month or even your health! These are important and directly effect to your life. Life is not easy. You need a plan for the future.
Most people in Japan retire their jobs when they turned sixty years old. It's almost fourty years old after graduated a university and very long time to keep work until sixty years old. I know that need a lot of perseverance based on my experienced. Acutually, I didn't want to work however I need to earn living money. If I won the lottely I would quit job and move into a beautiful island like Hawaii. I hope that my dream will come true.
Nice topic Po, I like your thinking. I also have own my opinions about the retirement. First I want to say about the jobs. If you choose the jobs that you really want to and you think you can devote to you job, I will not mind about the income or retirement. Somebody said that:” Have a job that you can devote, you will never want t quit or give up”. Imagine that on one morning, you wake up and then you think about your job, do you like the feeling being ready or just the tired? Of course ready for work. For me , if you have the job I really want to, I think I don’t want to quit it. Like almost scientist, I devote all life for the science and I never quit their job. You know why because if they quit their job, we will not have the development about the techniques or the life like today. Each one has his or her own favorite job, so try to do the best to devote his or her life to the job. By doing that, society should be improved and developed. Just do your best to reach your goal and devote all life to what you want to do.
